About Jenny
I'm the classic 'grew up with dogs' type of person. Life just isn't the same without'em! But living with and loving dogs isn't a credential - scroll up to see mine.

Hands-on practical experience living with and training reactive dogs, fearful dogs, and resource guarding dogs. Have a working breed? Oh yes, I know about that too!
I specifically enjoy connecting with reactive dogs; those anxious dogs that can seem so scary or hard to live with. Loving and living with those dogs has changed my life forever and if you're reading this, I know they've impacted your life in some way too.
As a passionate rescue & shelter volunteer -and foster home- I come into contact with myriad breed types and personalities. And if your case isn't in my wheelhouse? I always refer to specialized professionals free of charge.
You deserve help, and so does your dog.

How do I train?
We're going to build behavior patterns through reinforcement and management.
I frequently use counterconditioning and desensitization. You will have homework.

Training isn't just for dogs, it's for humans. The behavior we want is highly rewarded so it can occur again and again. Training shouldn't be stressful. I don't use e-collars or prongs.
Do you use tools like e-collars or prong collars? My clients come from all sorts of backgrounds and all sorts of methods. I will never turn you or your dog away simply because of tool usage. I ask you remove all tools before our sessions if possible - if you feel you cannot but want a path to move forward, let's do it together at pace comfortable for you and your dog!

Lastly I also query if your canine is presenting any pain and update your current in-house protocols. We'll go over a multimodal approach; looking at your canine's daily routine, struggles, and general soundness.
